Introducing...Mornings on Muni

I have decided that now that we live in SF, BART tales would be few and far between. So, for your reading pleasure I'll try to do a morning segment I'll be calling "Mornings on MUNI.". Too many crazy things happen on public transportation not to share them with all of you. So, with no further adue...

I understand personal space may not be able to exist on a crowded bus or rail car. I know I will probably have to get too close for comfort to the dingy looking man getting his nap on the T-train. BUT, there is NO reason for personal space not to be allowed on a wide open platform. So, to the mother and her child who felt It necessary to practically lean on me yesterday at the 4th & King station - please allow me 3 minutes of platform breathing so that I can hold my breath until I get off at my station. Thanks.

Whatevs...

Sorry, I am not regular. With blogging - get your head out of the gutter!! Sitting outside of Michael's karate school waiting for Michael so that we can head to sushi and see a movie! I am so excited for sushi - not even that I am that adventurous in my raw fish consumption, but I love sushi!!

And then, we are going to the movies - either Extract of Julie & Julia - depends on who wins the battle I guess, me or Michael. I'll report back. It is gorgeous weather today, and I was able to get some color on my pasty skin!! So exciting!

Just wanted to say hello to all and wish you a wonderful weekend! Enjoy the rest and the people around you!!

Friday Night at Home

I am so cool right now. It's Friday night and I am sitting at home still mildly recovering from a too crazy Thursday night. Note for the future- company parties are AWESOME. Company parties on a Thursday are NOT too awesome. Well, scratch that- the Friday after a Thursday night company party are what sucks. There definitely was a lull over the sales floor today and you could tell that there was a large handful of people who were in worse shape than I.

I am so excited that it's a three day weekend! That means a lot of sleeping in, getting things done, having fun and hanging out. Oh, and working out, because I have definitely been sucking at that lately. I need to get back on the eating healthy and working out train. And the 2 Yelp cupcakes that I ate late night aren't doing anything for my girlish figure. Well, I only eat the tops where all the frosting is, so that is better, right?

And here is my random thought for the day- can I please have my life resemble a musical please? I want background music and to be able to break out into song at anytime without getting weird looks. Ok, that's all. Back to being lazy!

Take 2

Ok, so I suck at being a regular blogger. I will be riding MUNI (because yes, we made the move to SF!!) and have blog thoughts running through my mind. But, by the time I get home, I have to much to do and am so wiped out that the last thing I can do is tell you all about my important life...haha

So, I am going to take another stab at this. I am sitting here, with a lovely face mask on, and deciding that I am making this a regular thing. I am going to start out with an every other day schedule and see how that goes. So, hold me accountable- harass me, pester me, keep me in line!

I don't think I am going to keep a main theme...just a little bit of this, some of my random thoughts and stories, and whatever thoughts i think you need to know.

A Few Things to Share

I just wanted to share a few things I have learned in the past few days and also a few of the random thoughts that I have had. Here we go...

1. Not sure if most people were aware of this, but I just learned that baby carrots do not grow that way. I have always thought they found a way to grow them smaller- but unfortunately this is not the case. They are really just big carrots that can't be sold because they could be slightly rotting or just not look pretty. So, after the bag in my fridge is gone, I am not eating them anymore. Because, well, this just bummed me out.

2. Random thought I had today- hoe do people who are blind find the braille signs that are posted on the walls? And, I am not saying this to be sassy- I am really curious.

3. So, my cat sheds a lot. And I found a new trick tonight that I want to share with everyone! I went to use one of those tape rollers to get some of Elle's hair off the bed- and it didn't do anything! So, I grabbed a Bounce sheet and rubbed it all over the comforter...WORKED LIKE A CHARM and was WAY faster!

4. If I could have a 3 day weekend every weekend, I would work so much harder the 4 work days of the week...PROMISE!!!

5. I still don't understand why men cat-call out the window at women on the street- do you think I am going to turn around and say "Oh! Please stop!! That totally turns me on!!" - uh....I think NOT!!!!

That is all I really have today- just some random things I though of and other things that I learned that I wanted to share. Hope everyone is enjoy the short work week! Tomorrow is already Thursday!!! YAY!!! So, until next time...

xo and much love,
kelsey

My Ideal Place...

There has been B-E-A-utiful weather here in the Bay Area these past few days. And, it made me ponder a few things. Mainly, what I miss about San Diego. Well, I miss my friends, I miss being in college and ditching class to get a tan or do nothing. But I really miss the weather.

But I really like the city life here. I love not having to drive, although my rock star performance have decreased from car session rock outs to shower sing-a-longs. I like the liveliness that a big city brings and the fun and crazy people that I meet. Although, there definitely is a good deal of those in San Diego as well.

So, I have decided that the best of both worlds (yes, that is a Hannah Montana song) would be the San Francisco city lifestyle and the San Diego weather (and beaches). I would be such a happy camper if I could actually get my daily dose of vitamin D through the tall city buildings. But, I guess that great weather is something that I must sacrifice for the city life. I can deal with it- for now :)

So, I am going to savor this weather for however long it lasts. I have tried to refrain from checking weather.com so that I don't get depressed when I see the little sun icon hidden behind the rain clouds....or no sun icon at all. And for now I will dust of my summer dresses and hide my pea coat...for the next few days at least.

xoxo and much love,
kelsey
